Beautiful French Regency fireplace with trumeau in a stone of Provence
What is nicer than to sit in front of a cozy fire ?
This hand-crafted stone fireplace will, without a doubt, bring charm and warmth to your home, while brightening up the room in which it is installed. It could be used both as an opened fire or a closed fireplace with an insert, a gas/wood burner or a stove.
This beautiful re-issued fireplace draws heavily from the French Regency style (early 18th Century), especially by the fine hand-sculpted shell on the lintel.
Crafted in our stone-cutting atelier in Isle sur la Sorgue (Provence), this mantelpiece is carved in a natural limestone quarried in Provence, the white stone of Lens.
Its carved jambs sit on a thick base. The monolithic arched lintel presents in its middle a beautiful hand-made sculpture representing a shell. The hearth line is worked in curves and cons-curves. The tablet of this fireplace is fine and molded, and continues perfectly the movement of the lintel. The hood is decorated with a molded frame and scrolls at the top. It is enhanced by a curved and finely molded cornice.
→ This fireplace can be purchased without its trumeau. It can also be redesigned to suit your exact criteria. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
