Beautiful fireplace with trumeau in natural French limestone - Louis XIV style

This Louis XIV stone mantelpiece with overmantel is an original creation by Alain Bidal.
Carved in a natural limestone quarried in Provence, the stone of Estaillades, this reissued fireplace is crafted by hand in our atelier in Provence by our experienced stone-cutters.

This fine example of a classic Louis XIV mantel features a pair of jambs carved in console on which rests a monolithic lintel adorned with floral sculptures. The tablet is finely molded. An opulent mold surrounds the whole hearth opening. The hood is also nicely carved and shows a molded embossed breastplate with softened angles, above which are sculpted 2 beautiful floral motifs. A  large overhanging molded cornice completes this beautiful set.
