Limestone fireplace with trumeau inspired by classic Louis XIV mantels : Barcelonette

This elegant stone fireplace with trumeau is an original crafted work inspired by classic French Louis XIV mantelpieces.

This fireplace is carved by hand by our artisan stone cutters in our atelier in Provence in a white natural limestone extracted from Provence, the stone of Estaillades.

It features all the main fundamentals of the Louis XIV fireplaces (mid 17th Century) : a pair of straight jambs with engraved cartridges, a large molding running along the lintel and tablet, a slender trumeau offering a carved decor drawing a kind of a frame (plastron curved at the top and bottom, beautifully framed by two sculpted columns). The trumeau is topped by an overhanging stepped cornice finely molded too.

→ This stone fireplace "Barcelonette" can be sold without the trumeau and/or could be adapted with your dimensions.
