Fine fireplace with trumeau carved in French limestone - Louis XIII style

This fireplace with trumeau is made entirely by hand by our master craftsmen in our Ateliers based in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in Provence. It is carved in the stone of Estaillades, a natural limestone sourced from quarries in Provence. A handcrafted fireplace 100% made in France !

It is inspired by the Louis 13th-style fireplaces and has a thin and slender look. The style "Louis XIII" is characterized, among others, by a large sausage-shaped moulding that runs along the entire hearth opening. This fireplace has fine and slender jambs on which sits a tablet. The hood shows rounded corners and is animated in the center by a molded frame ended in curves and scrolls. The cornice overlooking the trumeau is finely moulded and rounded.
