Mantelpiece with trumeau in French limestone - Louis XIV style

This 2,75 meters tall fireplace with trumeau is carved by hand in the stone of Estaillades, a white limestone extracted in Provence and crafted in our stone-cutting atelier in Isle sur la Sorgue (Provence).

This elegant mantelpiece in stone is inspired by the classic Louis XIV style and features a beautiful symmetrical décor.

A sculpted mold which follows the lower edge of the lintel carries on along the inner part of the jambs. The overmantel is nicely decorated with a molded frame. What gives this mantelpiece even more elegance are all the rounded angles, as well as the beautifully carved lintel.

→ This fireplace could be supplied without the trumeau and, with or without a stone base. It could also be re-designed to suit your exact criteria or to work with an insert or stove. Please feel free to contact us for more details.
