Exceptional mantelpiece with trumeau in natural French limestone - Napoleon III style

This 3.45 meters tall mantel with overmantel in stone is an exceptional fireplace in stone hand-crafted in our stone-cutting atelier located in the heart of Provence.

Inspired by the classic Napoléon III mantelpieces, this fireplace is carved in a natural limestone extracted from our quarries in Provence, the stone of Estaillades.

This mantel features the main characteristics of the Napoleon III style, especially the claws sculpted at the bottom of the legs, typical of this period. The molding on the lintel and cornice offer a complex design. This fireplace featuring beautiful and intricate carvings and sculptures is nicely topped with a finely decorated and carved trumeau (= over-mantel or hood).
