Finely hand-carved French Louis XIII fireplace in stone : Saint Saturnin

This nice fireplace carved in Estaillades stone (a white natural limestone extracted from our open-sky quarries in Provence) is hand-crafted in our stone-cutting atelier located in the heart of Provence, in Isle sur la Sorgue.

This original creation of Atelier Alain Bidal is an impressive stone fireplace  inspired by the classic Louis XIII French mantels. It features the main characteristics associated with this style namely a large and opulent molding hand-sculpted all along the jambs and the lintel, as well as a pair of jambs carved in console.
