Small-size Regency style fireplace in patinated natural limestone with base

This beautiful stone fireplace is strongly inspired by the French Regency style (1715-1723) and features all of the major characteristics associated to this style.

Hand-crafted in our stone-cutting atelier located in Provence, this mantelpiece is carved in a natural limestone extracted from quarries located in Provence : the Estaillades stone. It is presented here in a weathered finish.

Its jambs are nicely curved and adorned with fine engravings and floral motifs. The monolithic lintel is curved and animated, in addition to the various faceplates visible along the entire length, by a magnificent hand-sculpted shell in the center and 2 leaves above each jambs. The shell is the motif that best represents the Regency and Louis XV styles. The hearth line offers beautiful curves and counter-curves. The tablet is molded and repeats the movement of the lintel.
This fireplace rests on a thick chamfered base.

→ This mantelpiece could be redesigned to meet your criteria (dimensions, patina, ageing, etc.) and/or to be used with an insert.
