Large Louis XIII fireplace in carved French limestone

This fireplace is carved into the stone of Estaillades (a natural white limestone quarried in Provence). It is crafted by hand in our stone-cutting atelier located in the heart of Provence, in Isle sur la Sorgue (not far from Avignon).

This original creation is inspired by the classic Louis XIII French mantels.
This style is characterized mainly by an opulent molding sculpted all along the jambs and the lintel thus enhancing the hearth opening, and by the jambs carved in console.

The stone fireplace rest on a thick stone base and features a monolithic lintel and a large and finely molded tablet.
