Limestone fireplace with trumeau, a classic Louis XIII mantelpiece

This superb fireplace in natural stone of Provence with trumeau is an original creation inspired by the classic Louis XIII mantelpieces (17th century) by its finely carved and sculpted moldings.

The imposing trumeau animated by a molded frame rests on a monolithic lintel, itself placed onto a pair of shapely jambs. Large moldings are sculpted on the surroundings of the lintel. Also note the elegance of the corner withdrawals on the trumeau and the large overhanging stepped cornice finely molded by hand.
