Louis XIII fireplace with trumeau in carved limestone : "Grasse"
This fireplace in French natural limestone is an artisanal creation inspired by the classic French Louis XIII mantelpieces.
This fireplace with over-mantel is hand-carved in the Estaillades stone, a white limestone of Provence. It is crafted in our atelier located in the South of France, near Avignon (Provence). The patina and finishing could be modified according to your liking and to match your home.
This charming fireplace features a pair of jambs carved in console, a straight lintel on which rests a thick tablet, a trumeau animated with an embossed sculpted molded frame (ideal place for a frame, a painting or a mirror), and a finely molded cornice. An opulent molding has been carved all along the jambs and the lintel, typical of the Louis XIII style.
→ This fireplace could be sold without the trumeau, as well as with or without a stone base. It may be re-designed to suit your criteria. We are at your disposal to answer any your questions.
