Superb fireplace carved in French natural limestone inspired by the Renaissance

Beautiful handcrafted fireplace carved in natural stone from Provence (the stone of Estaillades). It is inspired by the richly carved fireplaces of the French Renaissance.
It can be described as baroque because of its architecture and its decoration : large curvy jambs with fines ornamental sculptures shaped like foliage, monolithic lintel with hand sculpted decor representing a rich vegetable frieze.

This fireplace, an original creation by Alain Bidal, is handcrafted by our stonemasons in our workshops in the South of France, near Avignon.
