Pair of square pillars with carved breastplate and wide capitals topped with stone ball

Pair of impressive pillars by their height and the size of their capitals !

The base is simple and monolithic. The square shaft is beautifully sculpted with two breastplates on 2 of its sides : a large rectangular one and smaller square breastplate over the moulding. The large and flat capital is nicely carved and raised by a small stone ball. This is what gives these pillars a more slender side.
