Very large and tall village fountain with lion heads. made in stone.

Central fountain cut and carved in a stone from Provence (called the Estaillades stone, a natural limestone that comes from a quarry in Oppède, near the Mont Ventoux).

Of large size, in fact it measures 5 metres high by 2 metres in diameter, it consists of a broad and high central rounded shaft. This central column is finished by a large, flat and finely moulded capital, itself topped with a ball on foot. The lower part of this village fountain includes four monolithic overhanging basins. The water comes out from 4 lions' heads beautifully hand carved.

To create this fountain, Alain Bidal took his inspiration from a town-square fountain that stands in the village of Robion, North Vaucluse.

This fountain is on display in our landscaped exhibition park in the heart of Vaucluse, in Isle sur Sorgue.
