Stone cutter's tips on how to choose well your outdoor flooring and pool curbs in stone.
Today it is the friend who speaks to you.
If I had to give you an advice, I would tell you to be cautious when choosing the stone for your pool curbs or your outdoor flooring.
As a friend, I advise you to avoid at all costs the "cold" stone, as in summer, the sun being powerful, if you forget to wet the stone, you risk to burn your feet or buttocks... What a disagreement !
I would advise you to opt for a soft or firm stone, one that is resistant to frost, salt and chlorine. A non-slippery stone which would allow your children to run around the pool without risking falling and hurting themselves.
Going to a stonecutter to purchase your outdoors flooring and pools fittings has several advantages : you will be able to choose every details (thickness, width, finishing, look...)
And it is not necessarily more expensive (feel free to ask us for a price quote !).
When you choose your beaches or pool curbs, ask for the test reports (salt, frost, slip resistances) in order to be well informed about the properties of the materials you are about to buy.
Finally, as a friend and as a master stonecutter, I remind you that all stones are good, there are only bad uses.
